Recommended sites
I may not necessarily have an active profile on any or all of these sites, but I recommend them nonetheless
- Tilemap Town
A 2D, top-down social art sandbox virtual world. Open-source, anyone can run their own server. Uses websockets.
- Encyc.org
English Wikipedia except friendly and less rules. Has been around for a long time.
- Heartlands
A Manyland-derived social art sandbox side-scroller virtual world, created from scratch, still in alpha
- MenuetOS
A fully functional operating system written entirely in x64 assembly.
- KalibriOS
(Needs PS2 ports, also do not rely on it for anything important related to the internet as the TCP stack is updated like once every few years)
- JoesCat Github
Old X11 games, except maintained and usually beyond Linux repos.
- Potato Mu* Client
A very usable Mu* client written in TCL.
- ErgoChat Server
The only good and fully-featured IRCd I've found. Takes out the ridiculous stuff present in old IRCds like publishing your IP before NickServ and all that nonsense.
