YouTube is the most popular video presentation platform which after 2012 decided to help destroy American culture by allowing video uploaders to monetize their content.

Monetization consequences

The site offers significant monetary incentives for video producers to retain a viewer’s attention for as long a time as possible per video. As a result creators compete to have long-form content with clickbait images and which is both sensationalist and appeals to base emotions. Video producers have found that viewer retention is easiest found in extreme competitions, reckless pranks, dangerous stunts, freak shows, celebrity gossip, and celebrity rise and fall stories.
